Terms

The deal between you and us. Short, because a long one usually means somebody is hiding something in the middle of it.

What you get

A workspace on Workbench: a website on your own address, a place to keep your customers, quotes and invoices, and a job calendar. Extra modules can be turned on and off month by month. We will keep it running, keep it patched, and keep improving it — everybody is on the current version, so there is nothing for you to update.

What it costs

$20 a month for the base plan, plus whatever modules and extra team members you have turned on. Billing is monthly in advance and the first 14 days are free. Prices for what you already have will not go up without at least 30 days’ notice by email.

Stopping

Cancel whenever you like, from your billing settings. You keep the workspace until the end of the month you have paid for. Before you go, export your customers and documents — ask us if you need a hand. We do not hold your data hostage to make leaving difficult.

Your data is yours

Everything you and your customers put into Workbench belongs to your business. We store and process it so the software can work, and for nothing else. See the privacy page for the detail.

You are responsible for what you publish on your website and for having the right to hold the customer information you enter — the same obligations you already have running your business on paper.

Fair use

Do not use Workbench to send unsolicited bulk email, to publish anything unlawful, or to attack the service or other people on it. We may suspend an account doing any of those, and we will tell you why.

What we do not promise

We work hard to keep Workbench up, but no online service is up every second, and we do not promise it. Keep your own records of anything you could not afford to be without for a day. Where the law allows us to limit what we owe you if something goes wrong, our liability is limited to what you have paid us in the previous 12 months. Nothing here takes away rights you have under consumer law that cannot be signed away — including, in Australia, your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

The free playbook

The playbook is free, is general business guidance, and is not legal, financial, tax or safety advice for your particular situation. It stays yours whether or not you ever subscribe.

Changes

If these terms change in a way that matters to you, we will email you before it takes effect. Questions go to support@mywb.app.
